Visit the most glorious sights of Bangladesh, including all three UNESCO world Heritage sights – Bagerhat, Sundarbans, and Sompur Mahabihar with spending three days at Srimangal – the tea capital of Bengal. You’ll get a taste of green forest and wildlife at Sundarbans and Srimangal, combining with explore some great archaeological sites and experiencing life of people in Bagerhat, Rajshahi, Sonargaon and Dhaka with a leisure trip at paddle steamer called Rocket.

 

Starting with visiting Old Dhaka and an overnight Rocket journey, you will visit the numerous mosques at Bagerhat, spend 03 days inside Sundarbans, visit Sompur Mahabihar. Also visit Mahasthangarh – the oldest known civilizations in Bangladesh from 3rd century BC. Later spend 03 days enjoing the tea plantations and tribal villages in Srimangal, and spend a day to the old capital Sonargaon. This is an arrival to departure package with hotels, breakfast, western style toilet and airport transfers.

Itinerary of Glory of Bangladesh:

 

Day-01: Arrival

 

  1. A guide of us will meet you inside the airport, pick you

Up, and transfer you to your hotel.

 

  1. Overnight at Dhaka (Hotel 71)

 

Day-02: Old Dhaka and Rocket

 

  1. Pick-up from hotel lobby at 08.00 H, and visit key tourist

Attractions in Old Dhaka the whole day, including

Dhakeshwari Temple, Lalbagh Fort, Khan Mohammad

Mridha Mosque, Armenian Church, Star Mosque, Ahsan

Manjil and Sadarghat River Station.

 

  1. Stop for lunch at a descent local restaurant in Old

Dhaka, and continue sightseeing.

 

  1. Return to the hotel and have couple of hours for shower

Before heading back to Sadarghat River Station.

 

  1. Enjoy a short boat ride at river Buriganga in the evening

On a wooden boat to feel the rhythm  of the live and

vibrant river and enjoy sunset.

 

  1. Embark Rocket Steamer at Sadarghat River Station at

18.00 H. A memorable overnight journey in Rocket

Day-03: UNESCO World Heritage City Bagerhat

 

  1. Enjoy the riverine beauty of Bangladesh from Rocket

Steamer in the morning. Disembark from Rocket at

Hularhat around 09.00 H.

  1. Drive towards Bagerhat (01 hour) in an air-conditioned car,

And visit 15th century Mosque city once called khalifatabad,

Which is the present day Bagerhat, and is an UNESCO

protected world heritage site.

 

  1. You will visit most of the remaining Mosques from the

15th century city Khalifatabad the whole day, including

The 60 Dome Mosque, 09 Dome Mosque, Rono Bijoypur

Mosque, and Singair Mosque. Also we’ll take you to visit

The shrine of Khan Jahan Ali, the saint general from Turkey

Who came to spread Islam in this country and founded

This great city, and Kodla Moth – a very beautiful Hindu

temple from 17th century. Drive toward Mongla (01 Hr).

Day-04: Sundarbans: Kochikhali

 

  1. Transfer to our waiting boat in the jetty at 06.00 H, and

Day-05: Sundarbans: Kochikhali & Kotka Wildlife Sanctuary

 

  1. Ride a wooden rowboat on a canal in the morning in

search of wildlife.

 

  1. Back to the main boat, and have breakfast at 07.30 H.

Start hiking on the forest from Kochkhali forest station

Toward the Jamtola Beach (10 Km, 03 hrs). Spend an

 Forest station through the forest. Reach Kotka station

and transfer to our waiting boat which already arrived

here from Kochikhali through an inside canal.

  1. Go to the watch tower at Kotka and seat there rest of

Day-06: Sundarbans: Kotka Wildlife Sanctuary

Day-07: Khulna – Rajshahi by Train, and Puthia

  1. After breakfast, drive to Kusumba (50 Km, 1.5 hrs). Visit

  1. Drive to paharpur (60 Km, 1.5 hrs) and visit Sompura

Buddhist Bihar, a Buddhist monastery from 8th century

And a UNESCO world heritage site. This is the most

Impressive archaeological site in Bangladesh.

 

  1. Drive to Mahasthangarh (60 Km, 1.5 hrs), and visit the

Remaining of the oldest known city in Bangladesh from

3rd century BC. We will take you to visit most of the well

Known sites at Mahasthangarh including the Citadel,

Vasu Bihar, Mahasthangarh Museum, and Gokul Medh.

Drive to Bogra (22 Km, 30 mins).

 

  1. Overnight at Bogra (Hotel Naz Garden)

 

Day-09: Chars of Jamuna, drive to Dhaka.

 

  1. After breakfast, drive to Sariakandi (42 Km, 45 mins).

Visit some chars (river islands) of river Jamuna and see

  1. Drive to Dhaka (250 Km, 6.5 hrs). Lunch on a highway

Day-10: Tea Plantations, and Tribal Villages in Srimangal

 

  1. Pick up from hotel at 06.30 H, transfer to Airport

Railway Station, and take 07.15 H Parabat Express to

Srimangal. Our guide at Dhaka will help you board the

Train and find your seats. Arrive Srimangal around 12.30

H. Upon arrival, our guide at Srimangal will meet you at

The train station, and transfer you to the resort.

  1. After dinner, we’ll take you to Nolkontho Tea cabin to

Day-11: Lawachara National Park, Pineapple & Lemon Gardens

 

  1. Early morning, go for a rewarding wildlife trekking

Through the Lawachara National Park. We take the 03

Hours trail for the maximum opportunity to see wildlife,

Specially the Hollock Gibbons for which this forest is

famous for.

 

  1. Return to the resort, have lunch, and take some rest.

 

  1. In the afternoon, walk through the trails inside tea

               gardens, visit some pineapple gardens and lemon

               orchards. Also show you the tea collecting activities

               on a tea garden before sunset (if available) when female

               works gather to collect their tea leafs which they

               collect during the whole day, which is photogenic.

 

  1. Overnight at Srimangal (Nisorgo Eco Resort)

 

Day-12: Srimangal to Dhaka by Train

 

  1. Morning is free to do anything you like.

 

  1. Transfer to railway station, and take 10.30 H Jayantika

               Express to return Dhaka. Arrive Dhaka Airport Station

               Around 16.00 H, transfer to hotel.

Day-13: Sightseeing in Old Capital Sonargaon

 

  1. Drive to the old capital of Bengal region – Sonargaon (2

Hrs) after breakfast.

 

  1. Visit Folk-arts and Crafts Museum, Goaldi Mosque – a

Beautiful medieval period mosque, a school fully made

    Remarks on Srimangal Overnight Tour:

 

  • Cycling at Srimangal is currently not permitted by the local

Authority until further notice. We will cover the track with

Tuk-Tuk.

 

  • Tour is not available to start on Sunday and Tuesday, as

Tuesday is the off day for the train (Parabot Express).

 

  • 1st class train tickets depends on availability. We’ll try our

Best to get first class train tickets for you. But if that is not

Possible, you’ll have a reserved seat on 2nd class.

 

  • It is common for the train from Srimangal to Dhaka to be

01-02 hrs late. But no matter when it arrives at Dhaka, our

Driver will be waiting for you in the station to take you to your

Hotel/residence.

 

  • There will be no accompanying guide on the train. If you want to

accompanying guide with you extra payment is required for

arranging a guide for that.

 

  • Transfer between hotel and railway station in Dhaka is only for

Dhaka North area (Uttara, Gulshan, Banani and Baridhara). For

Other parts of the city, extra payment is required for arranging

A transfer.
